At the very last minute, we decided we were not heading to New Orleans for the Saints game this weekend. Though initial reports and predictions had the city back up and running normally by Friday or Saturday, many people remain without power and others are still evacuated. As a result, it seems that many of the hotels and restaurants are not up and running yet, mostly from lack of staff. A football weekend would have been great, a football weekend sleeping on the street and lining up for" mre's" to eat - not so much. I'm disappointed, but I'll get over it.
Seems like it'll be a renovation vacation, with work continuing on the house. Perhaps I'll pick more fun renovation type things, like organizing the craft nook shelves.
My "keep calm and carry on" poster arrived in the mail a few days ago. The tube was quite dented, and the poster inside has a couple of pretty significant creases and wrinkles as a result. I hope that's not some sort of omen.
